Professor Lucas Norat is a 1st Degree Black Belt, professional athlete, and renowned coach of champions with nearly 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a decade dedicated to teaching.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Professor Lucas honed his skills at GB Jacarepaguá and GB Rio Matriz, the original headquarters of the first Gracie Barra school. Throughout his competitive career, he has earned major titles such as Brazilian Nationals, South American Nationals, American Nationals, and a 3rd place finish at the Pan American Championships.
Since relocating to Arizona in 2017, Professor Lucas has contributed to the success of several top-tier Gracie Barra schools before founding Gracie Barra East Mesa. Under his leadership, students have achieved significant victories at World Championships, Pan American Championships, and National Championships.
While competitive success is a highlight, Professor Lucas’s greatest achievement lies in witnessing the personal growth and transformation of his students.
